God's family at Hartsville United Methodist Church is committed to worshiping,
studying and serving together to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us.
We worship together joyfully on Sunday mornings at 11:00. We welcome children in worship, and offer a
special time for Young Disciples during the service. Children 5 and under are also invited to play and learn in the nursery.
We have Sunday School classes at 10:00 a.m. for all persons 3 years and older. Children enjoy class, followed by a special music time. Four adult
Sunday School classes offer a variety of discussion styles and topics. Nursery care is available for children under three.
A Bible Study group meets at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday.
Community & Fellowship
Our United Methodist Youth (413) meet on Wednesday evenings. They enjoy food, games, and a devotional geared to their interests and lives.
Youth in grades 6 -12 are welcome.
The choir makes a joyful sound each Sunday, and welcomes new voices. They practice on Wednesday evenings.
Together with Hartsville First Baptist church, they sing special programs at Christmastime and Eastertime.
We open our doors
to the children of Hartsville. Each summer we host Vacation Bible School for over 60 children. Children also enjoy hay rides, pool parties,
an Easter Egg Hunt, a Halloween Party, caroling and the Christmas Pageant . Hartsville Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops also meet
As Methodists, we love to get together and enjoy a meal. We invite you to join us at one of our fellowship suppers.
Outreach & Mission
As a United Methodist church, we support many outreach and mission programs, locally, nationally, and
world-wide, through our gifts to the United Methodist church at large. Here in Trousdale County, we
- Provide Christmas baskets to families in need
- Purchase shoes annually for all the children in the Head Start program
- Support the Trousdale County Help Center
The United Methodist Women (UMW) meet to share a devotional and plan
fundraisers for mission projects. UMW sponsors a fashion show and several fellowship meals. Women of all ages are welcome.
